Aundry picked up his first camera when he was 10 years old, after saving his daily allowance for months. With this camera in hand, he embarked on this amazing photography journey.
In 1988, he worked in the main newspaper publisher in Singapore, as a crime photojournalist and went wherever crimes took him. Eight years on, he left the newspaper publisher to pursue his dreams - A Sports Photographer.
Alvin understudied for 4 years with Peter Chen, one of Singapore’s foremost contemporary art photographers, whose works have been featured in Paris. He conceptualized and shot recruitment ads for the Singapore Armed Forces, Singapore Prisons, PSA International, and Starhub.
He joined image library, ImaginAsian, as a Creative Director in 1999, before being headhunted to join the pioneer editorial team of the TODAY newspaper. He served as Chief Photographer from 2000 to 2004, and again the newspaper marketed his photographic services to advertisers for recruitment ads.
After a year’s break spent abroad, he began a full-time career as a freelance commercial photographer.
Professionally trained in Advertising and Photographic Arts. Through the last 10 years, he relentlessly experimented and mastered the light painting technique to create a “Light Paintography” photograph that equals Rembrandt’s Oil Painting. His unique works have attracted the attention of news media and was featured on TV Manila in Feb 2012, Channel U Singapore in May 2012, 4 occasions on TV Vietnam in 2014/15, and TV Taiwan in Sep 2016. He was invited as an international speaker at the WPPM in Malaysia on 3 occasions and for the fourth time at the PhotoWorld Asia Photo Congress in Philippines in Jan 2017. His latest achievement has to be selected by the International Masters of Photography Vol II. Featuring 100 master photographers from all over the world.
Lee Tiah Khee has over 28 years of experience as a Professional Photographer. While Lee's work constantly challenges him with the rigours of photo journalism, he is also a passionate photographer of wild birds and is one of Singapore's leading nature photographers.He has published two coffee table books - Birds in a Garden City (published in March 2010), and Birds of Singapore (published in June 2013).
His other accomplishments include F1AP Silver Medal in the 54th Singapore International Photography Award (Digital Nature Section, 2007), came in first in the Merlion Park International Photo Competition (2002), Overall Best Award in the Discovering Singapore and The World Photography Competition (1995), and the Young Artist Award (2002).
Sha Ying studied photography and television at Beijing Broadcasting Institute. Since settling down in Singapore over a decade ago, Sha Ying has held two solo photography exhibitions at the Substation and the Alliance Francaise de Singapore, where he was also an invited participant for the Month of Photography on several occasions.
His photographic works have also been selected by several art photography books, and he is currently the supervising cameraman at the headquarters of CNBC Asia Pacific in Singapore.
Tay Kay Chin is a Singaporean photographer who works mainly in the documentary and photojournalistic genres. He graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1992 with a degree in photojournalism, and spent more than a decade in newspapers in Singapore and the US, working his way up from being a photographer to presentation editor. He is also a vocal advocate of photography in Singapore. Besides commercial and personal projects, he devotes his time to promoting photography, writing, consulting and lecturing.
